Pacific Heights, San Francisco

n Flat Broke in Paradise, Nick Thomas grew up in San Francisco's Pacific Heights, an affluent and prestigious neighborhood. The area receives less fog than much of San Francisco so the residents can enjoy spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Due to its affluence, Pacific Heights has a good number of private schools and academies as well as high-end boutiques.
